Fediverse Multimedia Grants

Give us an easy way to refer to this application. A good title is something like "<Publication Name> on <Software Project>". Make sure to include both if you can fit them!

We will use this name when we communicate with you about your proposal.

Software Project

We want to know about the software project that this grant is for. (If you are a creator or publisher without a software platform to partner with, contact us at contact@socialweb.foundation and we'll help you find one.)

Give a brief description of your project. Important things to include: How many installations? How many users? What media types do you help people share (short text, long text, images, audio, video, other)? How is the software a multimedia platform? What software license do you use?

You don't have to list all the developers who work on the software project, but it can help if we can get the names of the developers who will work on this grant. If you, the applicant, are going to work on the grant, please add your name too.

Publication

Tell us about the new publication that will be made on the Fediverse. What new content will be on the network? (If you are a software platform without a publication to partner with, contact us at contact@socialweb.foundation and we'll help you find one.)

This is the name of the publication that the grant will support on the Fediverse.

What is the topic or theme, if any, of the publication? What type of media will it be -- a podcast, a video series, music, photos, something else? How often will you publish? Will this be original work created for the Fediverse, or new material?

Who will work on the publication? Tell us who will be involved. If you, the applicant, will work on this, include your name.

Can you give us some links to work you've done before? Video channels, podcast home pages, however else we can see your work.

Working Together

How will the software developers and creators work together? What medium will you use to communicate? How often will you check in?

We want these grants to matter to the community. How will you share progress? Within the publication? In personal feeds? Side-channels, like chat? A blog?

What are some milestones in this project -- publication dates, software releases, other work? Remember to leave time for work that you don't know that you need. Learning about that work is a big part of this program.

Give us a breakdown of different costs for the project as well as work to be done, who will do it, and how much they get paid for it. You can write it out in sentences, or one cost per line. Don't forget to include work you learn about as the program continues.

Tell us about your plan for impact. At the end of this program, what will your program have accomplished?
